Verified brand conversations inside the native Messages app, powered by AI agents.
RCS for Business is not something a brand can switch on by itself. Google approves the agent, the carriers deliver it, and an approved partner submits and operates it. MessageOS is that partner: we provision the verified agent, run brand verification, and launch the conversation inside the native Messages app on Android and iOS.
RCS Business Messaging (RBM) is the business-facing layer of Rich Communication Services, the GSMA-standardized successor to SMS. Verified brands send rich cards, carousels, quick replies, and 2-way media, with fallback to SMS when a device is not supported. For the full step-by-step, read RCS for Business: how brands get live with a partner.

What is RCS Business Messaging?
RCS Business Messaging (RBM) is the business-facing layer of Rich Communication Services. It lets verified brands send rich cards, carousels, quick replies, and 2-way media inside the native Messages app on Android, with fallback to SMS where needed.
How is RCS Business Messaging different from SMS?
SMS is one-way, 160-character text with no branding. RBM adds verified brand identity, images, carousels, buttons, read receipts, typing indicators, and full 2-way conversation, all inside the same inbox.
Does RCS work on iPhone?
Yes. RCS ships in Apple Messages on iOS 18 and later, and verified RCS for Business agents reach iPhones through supported carriers. Apple Messages for Business is a separate, optional Apple program.
Who runs the carrier side?
Mobile carriers run RCS through Messaging as a Platform (MaaP) infrastructure. Google operates the Jibe RBM platform used by most Android devices. Brands connect through a CPaaS provider or a platform like MessageOS.ai that handles verification and routing.
How does MessageOS.ai compare to a traditional CPaaS?
Traditional CPaaS providers focus on message delivery. MessageOS.ai is agent-native: verified RCS provisioning, a built-in AI agent (Ezra), tokenized entry points, and end-to-end attribution back to the ad, search result, or QR that started the conversation.
